The Great Depression was during the 1930s in the United States. The Great Depression was considered as the collapse of the economy, which leads to the Dust Bowl. Teens were forced to leave their home because their parents could not afford to feed them, many people lost their jobs and were homeless, which increased the poverty rates, all resulting from the Great Depression. The crash of the stock market on Tuesday, 29th of October, 1929 played a significant role in this era. Billions of dollars were lost in just months after the crash even though America began to salvage its losses, it still wasn’t enough.
